Power washing pavers at Stone Creek

PAVER CLEANING (SURFACE CLEANING)

Professional paver cleaning in Connecticut is one of the most important steps in maintaining your hardscape installations. Over time, patios, walkways, and driveways are exposed to environmental factors caused by both nature and everyday use.

Common contaminants include organic buildup from pollen, grass, and leaves, as well as grill stains, oil drips, tire marks, rust stains, and more. While these may not immediately damage your pavers, they can lead to long-term issues if not addressed.

One of the biggest concerns is the breakdown of polymeric sand in the joints, which is critical to the stability of your paver system. Regular cleaning removes harmful buildup before it accelerates this deterioration.

For most homes, we recommend paver cleaning 1–2 times per year, depending on exposure and usage.

Re-Sanding Polymeric

POLYMERIC SAND INSTALLATION & RESANDING

Polymeric sand installation is essential for maintaining the strength and appearance of your paver patio, walkway, or driveway.

Compared to traditional sand, polymeric sand helps:

  • Prevent weed growth

  • Stop ants from building sand hills

  • Reduce joint erosion

  • Improve overall paver stability

  • Make surfaces easier to clean

Polymeric sand typically lasts around 5-7 years, depending on sun exposure, moisture, environment, and maintenance.

Our re-sanding process includes:

  1. Power washing out all existing joint material as best as possible

  2. Allowing the surface to fully dry

  3. Installing new polymeric sand

  4. Compacting with a specialized roller compactor

  5. Activating the polymeric sand with water

Proper installation is critical. Incorrect application can lead to failure, which is why hiring experienced paver restoration professionals in Connecticut is important.

PAVER REPAIR & HARDSCAPE RESTORATION

We don’t just clean—we restore. Over time, hardscapes can shift, settle, and become unsafe especially in the harsh environment of New England. Our paver repair services in Connecticut are designed to restore both the function and appearance of your installation.

We repair:

  • Patios

  • Walkways

  • Driveways

  • Retaining walls

  • Steps

  • Fire pits

Common issues include:

  • Sunken or uneven pavers

  • Trip hazards

  • Failing edging

  • Joint separation

  • Loose caps

  • Collapsing retaining walls

  • And more

Repairing your hardscape is often far more cost-effective than full replacement.

COMPLETE PAVER RESTORATION

When repairs are not enough, a complete hardscape restoration may be necessary. This process involves rebuilding your installation using your existing materials.

This service may include:

  • Clean and organization of pavers

  • Regrading and rebuilding the base

  • Reinstalling pavers in the original layout

  • Installing new polymeric sand

While more labor-intensive, this option can save compared to a brand-new installation. It is best suited for small to medium sized installations where materials are still in good condition.
